I love being in conversation with makers and help them translate ideas into coherent narratives. Taking time to listen, devoted to finding the right words, I craft every story with context and reader in mind. I believe that even the fuzziest of concepts can and should be communicated intelligibly.
I am a storyteller, initially trained as a photographer and curator. In 2010 I set up Image Matter as a platform for visually driven narratives. I researched, curated and produced. I worked on multimedia projects on pressing matters, web docs and photobook events and exhibitions. I also worked with artists on their concept descriptions, wrote and edited exhibition texts. I killed the darlings and cut the noise. I edited and re-structured until even the fuzziest of concepts became clear. And as I did so, I discovered an inexhaustible love for words. Image Matter is still the imprint under with I lead by visual practice. And as of 2018 Matter of Words is its wordly counterpart.
